Skyrim Patch Coming Soon

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is one of those games that had a lot of hype behind it. Not COD hype, but hype nonetheless. So it was a bit disappointing when people got their hands on the game and experienced some graphic issues. PS3 users reported some texture streaming problems and for Xbox 360 users, they found that if theyinstalled the game on their hard drive that they also experienced texture issues.
But Bethesda's Pete Hines is looking to put a stop to all that. The game's only been out for a matter of days, but Hines has assured the fans that a Skyrim patch is on the way. Mr. Hines urges patience, tweeting, "Patches/updates take a little time. We can't turn it around quite that fast. It's been three days. Calm down, we're working on it." and "We are continuing to work on an update for all platforms to address issues any bug and perf issues we can."
Possibly in response to being deluged by angry fans via Twitter, Mr. Hines urged those who experienced said issues to report them via a form on the Bethesda website, stating, "[It's] much better than trying to go thru me."
Pete Hines is Bethesda's lead PR and Marketing guy, so he has a good handle on where things stand, but you can't help but feel a little sorry for the guy at this point. On the other hand, one would think that when you buy a videogame you are getting a complete product, not something that can be fixed via the Internet weeks down the road after you buy it. What about those gamers playing somewhere in which they can't download the update? Where's their compensation? It's something to think about.
